Loved the How to Video. He made it seem so easy. I am going to follow the chef's recipe this year of 3 potatoes to one onion and even try to make my own applesauce. Thanks for the tips.

So many choices! I would love to try the roasted garlic and apple chicken, the barley and mushroom soup, the potato and garlic soup, the eggplant mozzarella sandwiches, the crispy spring rolls, the cheese and tomato gallet and more! it's a good thing chaunka is 8 days!

If I could get celery root I would make the celery root latkes. The ceaser dip looked really good and the whole wheat suvganiat with citrus filling was in accordance to my diet. I liked the article to be a food snob cause really that's what I hav to be because I am per diabetic. I look at your website daily f recipe ideas thank you so much for thinking of such a wonderful idea. I don't have to win but you should know I this website make a difference.

There are actually 2 recipes that I want to try right away! The first is the Meatball Stew, which I thought was so simple looking, and looks very nice in the picture! The second is the Roasted Chicken with Farfel & Mushroom Stuffing. Yum! I know this could be any Shabbat chicken, or turkey, or cornish game hen, just as the video says. I'll look forward to more from the Toronto Chef Blum.

I like to make a variation of the 8 donuts for 8 nights. I use the standard sufganiyot and inject caramel with a medicine syringe. I top with choco glaze and any toppings. Yum!

well...everyone wants traditional for our chanukah party but i'm feeling adventurous. so i guess i'll compromise and do latke variations-either the crispy cheese or the vegetable ones (depending how late everyones shabbos meals go...:) ) and not gonna lie-the roasted garlic potato soup everyone keeps mentioning sounds incredible. might just have to add that to the menu!

Deena I made the jelly donut bundt cake. it was easy to make & to the delight of my family (who thought you can't get a decent donut if it"s not fried) it was really good. That's one recipe i'll use again! thanks for an exciting & tempting website!!

Wow! I can honestly say that a ton of these look good! I've already made one of the family first baked donut recipes and it was delicious! But I have to say, my zucchinis are in my fridge waiting for me to turn them into those quiches- yum!

I am probably going to try the recipe for the calzone...no it isnt traditional anything per se, but i love them.....and not to feel too guilty about not having something fried, if i can get of the house i will be stopping at dunkin donuts for some jelly filled sweets....i would love to win one of the cookbooks for my son and daughter in law who host for dinner most erev Shabbat and i am certain they would love it...this way i have the excitement of winning and the pleasure of knowing they are enjoying the new cookbook...thank you for your consideration... chag chanukah sumeach to all of you

The Shalom Bayit latkes are just what the doctor ordered. I may eliminate the baking powder though, they taste great without them. Happy Chanukah!

I made the cheese latkes yesterday: they were absolutely divine. I plan to make the tropical fruit fritters and shalom bayit latkes tonight for a welcome twist on the regular potato latkes. I also want to try Chinese stir fry salad with mozzarella croutons as well as the chocolate cheese dip. They both sound different and delicious. And last but not least, the dreidel cookie place cards to grace our annual family party.

What is a real Moroccan Chanukah Party without Sfinge? I'm gonna try and kick it up by adding 1Tbs. of Arak, that spicy alcohol drink that tastes like black licorice. Somehow I remember my grandmother telling me that it goes in there! Come on over!!

I gave my mother the sufganiyot Bundt cake recipe to try. We tasted it yesterday at her party- yum! The dough was very light and delicious, the presentation was different than all the usual donuts and really pretty Also I just added the ingredients for your cheese latkes to my grocery list I will make them iy"H on Wednesday for my kids they can't wait

To save on calories, I am frying one side of my latkes and baking the second side in the oven. Then I place them on paper towels to drain.

ouch! i just had dental surgery on both sides of my mouth and can't chew. But lo and behold i read your killer applesauce recipe and you saved the day. now, i can eat something delicious and mushy at the same time. if the surgery didn't "kill" me, I guess the applesauce will!

I'm still sore from my stitches in my mouth but will definitely make the crustless zuccini cheese quiche for my girls who are watching their waistlines (fat chance on chanukah!) and the vegetable cheese calzones who can pack away the calories without putting on an ounce. maybe the girls will take a tiny taste.......meanwhile i'm staying with my "killer applesauce".

i thinkk i'll try your "shalom bayis" latkes. after all, the miracle of chanukah brought shalom to eretz yisroel and the yiddin and the nairos were a chanukas habayis of sorts.

We made Marcy Goldman's delicious Sufganiyot. We filled half with her delicious custard cream and half with Strawberry jelly. We rolled all the doughnuts in powdered sugar. This was a great Chanukkah activity and the extended family enjoyed the Sufganiyot!

Being that I am a Morah, I am always on the lookout for new ideas and recipes. We tried Chef Blum's latkes today and boy were they a real hit. Many kinderlach asked for seconds! Thanks for an easy and fun thing to do on Chanukah! A freilechen Chanukah to all!

My dairy chanukah party will feature lots of recipes on your site - Including the four cheese broccoli quiche, pizza muffins, roasted garlic caesar salad, and pasta with creamy tomato sauce, The turtle bars are on my list to make for dessert, as well as the mini doughtnuts with caramel sauce (look delicious and easy to make too). I am planning on trying a different potatoe latke this year. The sweet potatoe latkes sound delicious and sweet! I can't wait to try something new. We baked Chanukah cookies yesterday and my kids had so much fun with them.( especially making a mess after :) we love baking and trying new recipes. I am always checking your site for new ones. I made the mini doughnuts with dairy caramel syrup, the lemon zest sugar cookies and the mushroom barley soup. An absolute hit!! The kids loved the mini doughnuuts and the only complaint I got is that I did not make enough!! Thank you so much for all the incredible recipies and for making me feel special from all the compliments I got from my family.

I have been making pounds and pounds of your potato latkes with celery root and no one has noticed any difference! Thank you for giving us a lower carb alternative. Just prepared another 15 lb. for the family Chanukah party. I'm sure they will be a hit there as well. Chag Sameach!
