Sweet ’n Spicy Grilled Chicken
I often make grilled chicken for supper because it’s easy and fast. I need a new way of making it, with interesting spices and perhaps even a little sweetness to it. Any ideas?
- Shaindy M, NY
I actually just tried this sweet and spicy grilled chicken on my family, because I too was looking for something interesting, and everyone loved it. It’s not your typical grilled chicken — it has a zing to it that is so appealing!
I usually stuff my schnitzel with sautéed veggies or mashed potatoes. I recently tasted a breaded sweet-and-sour schnitzel filled with cold cuts at a bar mitzvah, which was outstanding. Do you have a recipe for it?
- Adina G, London
I made this schnitzel for Yom Tov and had a lot of bochurim as guests. They couldn’t eat enough of it! I know bochurim eat anything, but these had discerning palates (at least I hope so!). My family enjoyed it too, so you can rely on their opinion. They do have discerning palates! This recipe is from Simi H.
I am making sheva berachos for a neighbor who loves peanut butter! Can you recommend a frozen dessert using peanut butter that is elegant enough for a simchah and yet doable for a regular Shabbos as well? -Michal F, Jerusalem
This pie is downright decadent, and even dangerous! I tested it on Succos on my family and guests, and as soon as they tasted it there was a unanimous muffled announcement (they had mouthfuls of pie!), “This HAS to go in!!” The photographer, who is an avid peanut butter fan, couldn’t get enough of it. He devoured a slice and kept noshing the brittle until I whisked it into the kitchen so I would have some for Shabbos!

I was recently at a simchah and tasted the most delicious cookies. They tasted like a brownie but in cookie form and had sprinkles placed exactly in the center. Can you help me with this recipe, please?
-Shana G, Lakewood
I recently made these for my son’s aufruf and they have the perfect consistency — chewy and crispy at the same time. They taste great straight from the freezer. I’m so glad there are none left! I believe this is what you’re referring to.
