For a stronger vanilla taste in your brownies try using ground vanilla beans (try baktoflavors.com) instead of regular vanilla extract!

Ingredients

2/3 c All Purpose Flour

3/4 c Cocoa Powder

3/4 c Butter or Margarine, melted

2 ea Eggs

1 c Sugar

1 1/2 tsp Bakto Ground Vanilla Beans (or 1 tsp vanilla extract)

1/4 tsp Baking Powder

1/2 tsp salt

5 oz Semisweet Chocolate Chips (optional)

1 TB Chili Powder (optional)

Directions

~ Preheat the oven to 350F and grease an 8 inch pan.

~ Melt the butter and allow it to cool slightly.

~ Mix the sugar and then the butter in the bowl.

~ Add the eggs and the vanilla and blend until incorporated.

~ Add in the dry ingredients all at once and mix until smooth.

~ Add in the chocolate chips (if desired) and mix briefly.

~ Pour the batter into the pan and place in the center of the oven.

~ Bake 25 to 30 minutes, until a toothpick in the center comes out clean or with baked crumbs.

~ Cool on a rack and then slice into desired size squares.
