Some great tips for setting your Purim or any holiday table!  I've also included some pictures that are great inspiration.  Get those creative juices flowing!

1. Decide on a theme first, and then choose your accessories to pull it together.  Something like colour can be an excellent theme too.  Here in this picture, the theme colour was actually gold, and the blue- greeny tablecloth accents the gold color beautifully. 

2.  On a long table, it's nice to vary the heights of the centerpieces.   I also like to run a few smaller decorative pieces down the center, as opposed to just one or even two large ones.  If there are  tall centerpieces, it would be wise to add some candles or petals to the table to enhance the look at eye level as well.

3. Don’t be afraid to mix and match items for centerpieces.  Just make sure the items somehow work together, whether by colour or by theme.  

4. Napkins can always be a fun way to add colour to a table.  For added effect, try placing the napkins in places where they can add interest. 

This is a table setting from Pier 1 that can easily be recreated. Wrap a napkin around any small item and fold one side up and one to the side.  Stick in a peacock feather.  You can complete the look by either using inexpensive brooches or even a decorative pony holders wrapped around the base of the napkin.

This is a great idea that can be used with any color scheme.  Buy scrapbook paper that compliments your color scheme and cut out circles and lay them as a table runner. http://vivafullhouse.blogspot.com/2010/11/happy-thanksgiving.html

For a unique color combination that is sure to impress use gold and mint.  The regal gold mixed with the soft mint tones makes a sophisticated and appealing table.  You can set you table by laying gold sequins down the center. If you want to have a elegant table without all the fuss, just pick two or three colors, use one for your tablecloth and two different colors for your plates and napkin and layer them together.  If you want to add just a bit more find some small decor pieces in those same colors. http://www.stylemepretty.com/gallery/picture/834311

For a new refreshing color that reminds you that spring is on the way, try coral.  Coral is a rich color with a peachy tone that goes with a lot of other colors to make unique combinations.
